Highlights from Past Events
The inaugural HOPE Summer Benefit was held on July 27, 2007, at the home of Traie and Doug Teitelbaum in Water Mill, NY, and co-chaired by HOPE founders Nicki and J. Ira Harris. The event was an amazing success raising over $700,000 with net proceeds going to support HOPE’s child obesity prevention and treatment research. Khaliah Ali, co-author of the book Fighting Weight was the special honoree. The HOPE Summer Benefit is sure to become a not-to-be-missed affair in the coming years as the need to advance and support effective obesity prevention and treatment intervention is growing.
