Jean-Marie Bruzzese, Ph.D.

Jean-Marie Bruzzese, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine and an Associate Research Scientist at the NYU Child Study Center. Her major research interests include the social development of children and adolescents diagnosed with a chronic disease, preventing high-risk behavior in adolescents and developing interventions to improve child-rearing skills of parents with adolescents.

Dr. Bruzzese received her B.S. from Brooklyn College. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Fordham University.

Dr. Bruzzese is on the Program Committee for the American Psychological Association's Annual Convention and is the Chairperson-Elect of the Program Committee for the Behavioral Science Assembly of the American Thoracic Society's International Annual Conference. She is also a member of the New York City Asthma Partnership's School Committee and an Institutional Review Board Member of the New York City Association of Children's Services.

Prior to joining the faculty at NYU, Dr. Bruzzese was an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Kean University.
